(50% grenache and 30% syrah, with carignan and mourvedre):  Opaque ruby.  Cherry, dark berries and musky herbs on the smoke-accented nose.  Supple and sweet, with good depth to its cherry compote and blackberry flavors.  Shows a note of bitter chocolate on the finish, which lingers with good tenacity and a slight herbacity.
