(30% grenache blanc, 15% each viognier and roussanne and 10% each marsanne, picpoul, clairette and bourboulenc):  Light yellow.  Pear skin, quinine and herbs on the pungent nose.  Dry and waxy, with good heft to its orchard fruit and lemon pith flavors.  Shows a refreshing bitterness on the dry, incisive finish, along with a distinctly waxy quality.  This rather uncompromising wine offers an interesting blend of richness and dryness; it can compare with plenty of high-end white Chateauneufs.
