(a selection of five barrels, three from Balcombe and one each from the Ana and Olenik vineyards; raised in 100% new oak):  Deep ruby-red.  Cherry-cola, boysenberry, vanilla and star anise on the assertively perfumed nose.  Lush, palate-staining red and dark berry flavors are lifted by tangy acidity and pick up a sexy floral pastille nuance with air.  Rich but lively pinot with excellent finishing energy and lingering floral character.
