(a blend of cabernet sauvignon, shiraz, merlot and petit verdot):  Bright ruby.  Bitter cherry, cocoa powder and black pepper on the nose.  Juicy and nicely delineated, with bitter cherry and anise flavors lifted by tangy acidity.  Closes with good grip, spicy cut, and a note of licorice.
