87-89 Points | International Wine Cellar , July/August 2012
(the crop was off by 40% here, owing mostly to some hail in July; just assembled in cuve): Hazy yellow. Aromas of peach and ginger, with a suggestion of oak and a lightly herbal quality. Broad, fat and dry, with a honeyed character and a note of anise. This very dry wine is showing less personality today than the Montmains; it's obviously disturbed today following the recent assemblage. Finishes quite dry, with notes of grapefruit pith and quinine. A bit forbidding.
