About Domaine Christian Moreau Pere et Fils
The year 2002 marked a new start here. The Moreau family regained control of their estate vineyards, which had been out of their since 1985. Since then, Christian Moreau and his son Fabien have been producing richly flavored yet precise examples of Chablis.
2011 Domaine Christian Moreau Pere et Fils Chablis Les Clos
Producer: Domaine Christian Moreau Pere et Fils
Style: White Wine
Grape Type: Chardonnay
Origin: France
Region: Burgundy
Appellation: Chablis
91-93 Points | International Wine Cellar , July/August 2012
(now 75% in tank and 25% in barrels): Pungent, nuanced, highly perfumed aromas of pineapple, quinine, ginger, white flowers, anise and dried herbs. Rich and ripe on entry, then a bit youthfully rough in the middle, with edgy pineappley acidity not yet in full harmony with the wine's deep fruit. Finishes with a touch of youthful peppery bitterness and excellent length. A classic, somewhat muscular Clos that will require at least five to seven years of aging.
