Pale green-yellow.  Pure, discreet aromas of citrus fruit and herbs.  Supple, juicy and precise, with a firm edge of mineral austerity to the citrus and mint flavors.  Plenty of volume and density here but quite closed today and not yet showing its fruit.  Finishes long and fresh, with very good lift and surprising volume to the finishing flavors of minerals and spearmint.  Billaud's three parcels in Montee de Tonnerre were planted in 1935, 1971 and 1979.
