(done entirely in small barrels, 17% new):  Good pale green-yellow color.  Candied apple and spicy oak on the nose, brightened by a note of metallic minerality.  Supple, lush and sweet, with the candied apple quality joined by a toffee element.  This rich, tactile wine has only been racked once so far and may be going through a tired phase.  The strong, building back end betrays a hint of bitterness.  Comes across as fatter than the Montee de Tonnerre but not as fresh or elegant.
