About Louis Michel & Fils
In six generations of winemaking here in Chablis, the Michel family has developed a no nonsense approach. You won't find the distracting presence of oak in these immaculate Chardonnays, because no wood is used in their cellaring.
2011 Louis Michel & Fils Chablis Forets
Producer: Louis Michel & Fils
Style: White Wine
Grape Type: Chardonnay
Origin: France
Region: Burgundy
Appellation: Chablis
89-91 Points | International Wine Cellar , July/August 2012
Pale bright yellow. Classic aromas of powdered stone and mint, plus a light lactic quality. Densely packed and serious, with a dusty quality to the flavors of lime blossom, licorice, gunflint and white pepper. Very limestone-driven wine with sneaky length. With its smoky minerality, this is like a mini-Clos.
