About Louis Michel & Fils
In six generations of winemaking here in Chablis, the Michel family has developed a no nonsense approach. You won't find the distracting presence of oak in these immaculate Chardonnays, because no wood is used in their cellaring.
89-91 Points | International Wine Cellar , July/August 2012
Bright pale yellow. Deeper on the nose than the regular Butteaux, offering ripe scents of musky stone fruits and acacia flower. A step up in size and intensity, showing lovely sweetness and a tactile mouth feel to its nicely delineated grapefruit and floral flavors. Boasts good stuffing and plenty of personality. Finishes dusty and persistent.
