About Domaine William Fevre
Fevre was once good. Now it's great. In fact, the improvement of this house is one of the most exciting developments in Chablis in the past 20 years. The ownership of the Henriot family of Champagne, which also owns Bouchard Père et Fils in Beaune, has resulted in a striking transformation.
2011 Domaine William Fevre Chablis Bougros
Producer: Domaine William Fevre
Style: White Wine
Grape Type: Chardonnay
Origin: France
Region: Burgundy
Appellation: Chablis
89-92 Points | International Wine Cellar , July/August 2012
(50% done in futs): Pale yellow-green. Subdued, rather gruner veltliner-like aromas of underripe pineapple, snap peach, spices and white pepper. Supple, sweet and rather easygoing, with mint and licorice notes providing lift. Less minerally than the Vaulorent and seemingly lower in acidity. Finishes firm, though, with a dusty lemon zest quality.
