About Soter Vineyards
Tony Soter made his name with Cabernet Sauvignon in California at Spottswoode, as well as with his own Etude label. But to show he was serious about Oregon Pinot Noir, he relocated to the Willamette Valley. The time and energy he's devoted to the vineyard is evident in his intensely fruity, layered Pinots that do not sacrifice balance or focus for power.
2010 Soter Vineyards Pinot Noir North Valley Willamette Valley
Producer: Soter Vineyards
Style: Red Wine
Grape Type: Pinot Noir
Origin: Oregon
Region: Willamette Valley
90 Points | International Wine Cellar , July/August 2012
Dark red. Fresh cherry and black raspberry aromas are complicated by Indian spices, fresh lavender and cola. Fleshy and appealingly sweet on the palate, with cherry and dark berry flavors enlivened by slow-building florality. Finishes smooth and long, with lingering spiciness and very good breadth.
