About Domaine William Fevre
Fevre was once good. Now it's great. In fact, the improvement of this house is one of the most exciting developments in Chablis in the past 20 years. The ownership of the Henriot family of Champagne, which also owns Bouchard Père et Fils in Beaune, has resulted in a striking transformation.
2011 Domaine William Fevre Chablis Vaudesir
Producer: Domaine William Fevre
Style: White Wine
Grape Type: Chardonnay
Origin: France
Region: Burgundy
Appellation: Chablis
90-92 Points | International Wine Cellar , July/August 2012
Bright pale yellow with a green tinge. Spicy aromas of tangy ripe pineapple and fresh apricot. Silky and opulent on entry, then fat with fruit in the middle although not yet particularly expressive. Shows a saline thickness and a sweet note of vanilla. A bit youthfully aggressive but finishes with excellent length. This very sunny site was harvested first, on August 31, with a moderate crop load of 48 hectoliters per hectare.
