Dark purple.  Complex scents of cherry, redcurrant, violet and licorice, with slow-building smokiness.  Sappy and expansive, offering juicy red fruit flavors and notes of bitter chocolate and candied flowers.  Shows very good energy on the spicy finish, which leaves behind notes of anise and bitter cherry.
