(45% carinyena, 45% syrah and 10% garnatxa, aged for 11 months in French and American oak):  Bright violet color.  Fresh red berries, Asian spices and anise on the fragrant, mineral-accented nose and on the palate.  Bright and youthfully nervy, with impressive finishing cut and lingering spiciness.  This wine should put on weight with a few more years of bottle age but holds plenty of appeal now.
