Bright purple.  Expressive aromas of black raspberry, cassis, potpourri and cracked pepper, with a hint of anise in the background.  Intensely flavored, penetrating and precise yet quite lithe, with very good spicy lift to its dark berry and floral pastille flavors. Finishes with fine-grained tannins, zesty mineral cut and lingering spiciness.
