About Chateau Pape Clement
Named in 1305 for its proprietor, Pope Clement V, Pape Clément is one of several Pessac-Leognan estates that are actually located within the city limits of Bordeaux.
89-92 Points | International Wine Cellar , July 2012
Bright golden-tinged straw. Spicy ripe citrus and floral aromas. Also rich and dense on the palate, with bright fruit and floral flavors. Finishes big and rich, with a peppery zing, some obvious tannins, and a touch of green emerging at the back. Not the last word in refinement, but it's hard to argue with this wine's in-your-face personality. Still, it doesn't strike me as one of the most successful Pape-Clement Blancs of recent times.
