Light red. Red berry and cherry aromas are complicated by rose, white pepper and vanilla. Spicy and brisk on entry, then fleshier and deeper in the middle, offering intense red fruit flavors and a touch of spicecake. Shows a refreshingly light touch, with zero excess fat. Finishes peppery and brisk, with lingering floral notes and no obvious tannins. There's an elegant, pinot-like character to this wine that's quite intriguing.
