(60% viura and 40% malvasia, aged on its lees for seven months in new French oak, with frequent battonage): Light, bright gold. Quince, orange zest, apple, white flowers and honey on the intensely perfumed nose and in the mouth. Silky and broad on entry, then tighter in the middle, with slow-building smokiness. Finishes nervy and long, with lingering spiciness and a touch of bitter quinine.
