Pale gold.  Vibrant, high-pitched aromas of lemon curd, pear and white flowers.  Dry, sharply focused citrus and orchard fruit flavors are incisive and pure, with a late note of bitter quinine adding cut and bite.  Closes firm and spicy, with excellent length and a resonating citrus note.  Meyers told me that he holds his viognier back for about a year before release because he thinks that an extra bit of age "helps to tame the natural bitterness of young viognier."
