Bright ruby.  Smoke- and vanilla-accented red fruit scents show good focus and a slightly green edge.  Offers bitter cherry and succulent herb flavors and a touch of cola, with a peppery quality adding lift.  The smoky quality comes back on the modestly persistent finish, which is firmed by supple tannins.  A little bottle age may help this pinot stretch and flesh out.
