Bright red-ruby.  Redcurrant, dusty herbs and flowers on the nose, complemented by sweet spices.  Supple and vinous, showing easy sweetness and plenty of bright fruit.  Seems more concentrated, precise and deep than any recent Peppoli vintage I can think of.  Finishes with good grip and moderately long sweet fruit flavors.  Makes a great pizza wine, but can also match up to more complex dishes as well this vintage.  Very good, solid entry-level wine, and an even better value than usual.
