90 Points | International Wine Cellar , August 2012

(mainly chardonnay and pinot bianco; 75% done in stainless steel and 25% in French oak barriques):  Bright green-tinged straw-yellow.  Aromas of lemon, jasmine and fresh herbs are complicated by a hint of vanilla.  Then richer and denser on the palate, with slightly honeyed flavors of ripe citrus, pear and banana.  The long, minerally finish shows sneaky concentration and a pleasant bitter note.  This seems to me to be a bigger, richer Pomino Bianco than usual, but I miss the more intense riesling and pinot bianco notes of some past years; this vintage leans more to chardonnay.
