Good ruby-red, not quite as lucid as the Finca Altamira.  Rather wild aromas of tobacco, pepper, herbs, roast coffee and game.  Supple and surprisingly open-knit, with a bit less energy to its concentrated dark fruit flavors than the Finca Altamira bottling is showing today.  The least tightly coiled of the three top wines from Achaval Ferrer and likely to be the earliest drinker.
