About Peter Michael Winery
Appropriately enough, Sir Peter Michael, an Englishman who made his name in electronics, established his vineyard in Sonoma County's Knights Valley. From the moment he purchased the property in 1982, Sir Michael has insisted upon an Old-World approach to New World wine. Terroir is paramount here, along with elegance in favor of overstatement.

(includes 3% semillon): Green-tinged gold. Tangerine, poached pear, vanilla and anise aromas are sharpened and lifted by a hint of candied ginger. Supple, sweet and succulent on the palate, with ripe citrus, orchard fruit and melon flavors energized by smoky minerality. Very complex wine, finishing smooth and broad, with outstanding length and lingering smokiness.
