88 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - August 2012

(a blend of merlot, sangiovese and cabernet sauvignon):  Bright red.  Grapey aromas of cassis, strawberry and minerals.  Juicy and fruit-driven, with firm acidity giving an edgy quality to the red berry, licorice and stone flavors.  Not a fat or fleshy style, but bright, fresh and very tasty.  This uncomplicated wine would be ideal with simple barbecues or pizzas.
