(80% sangiovese and montepulciano, 20% other varieties):  Ruby-red.  Smoky, flinty redcurrant and herbs on the nose, plus a hint of cedar.  Then juicy in the mouth, with an attractively tactile mouthfeel to the bright redcurrant and black cherry flavors.  The moderately long finish displays lingering sweetness and an enticing floral note.  Not the last word in complexity but offers a lot of wine for the money.
