Pale bright red.  Cherry and spice aromas are weighed down by oak.  The palate shows more depth of sweet, juicy red fruit to support the wine's significant oakiness than this producer's other 2011 pinot offerings, and finishes with more breadth.  But I'd still like to see a subtler hand with the wood.
