Carneros Poster Child

Wow. This is about as good as Carneros gets. I couldn't believe the depth of flavors and fruit in this wine. Extremely well made. Pure silk on the palate. Primary flaw is a lack of tannic structure that is hard to overlook. Obviously crafted from a great growing season.

This Bottle had even more body and comlpexity which I attribute to the wines having a bit more resting time after shipping. The wine is drinking like a 30+ wine
Nice wine at a great price point

Not quite as good as the other Chad PN offerings. Bigger strawberry notes and some rhubard with underbrush, but not as interesting or complex as anticipated.

Perfect. One of the few Pinots I've recently tasted that actually tasted like Pinot, was affordable, and also not an overripe mess. Drank by itself at just over cellar temp, and it was pure silk.

Powerful consumer interest in California wine is driven by two major factors. The more obvious reason is that California's best wines, which come from grapes grown in...

Pinot Noir

Adored by critics, prized by collectors, Pinot Noir is one of most tantalizing yet temperamental varietals in the world. For many wine enthusiasts, this is part of the appeal of Pinot -- it doesn't reveal its charms easily. Pinot Noir's virtue also stems from the unique characteristics of the grape. The skins are especially delicate, which accounts for the lighter color and body of finished wine. But, despite the delicacy, the best wines have excellent backbone and...
