Bright medium ruby.  Blackberry and licorice on the nose.  Boasts a subtle sweetness in the mouth but lacks the normal concentration, flesh and flavor depth of this bottling.  Firmly structured but a bit dry on the end.  I prefer the cabernet sauvignon version in 2011.
