87 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - September/October 2012

(aged in American and French oak; 15.5% alcohol):  Vivid ruby.  Primary red berries and licorice on the nose, with a peppery overtone.  Superripe cherry and raspberry flavors turn a bit jammy with air but are braced by notes of blood orange and peppery spices.  Finishes sweet and warm, with good length.
