(essentially 50% merlot and 25% each cabernet sauvignon and malbec, but also includes bits of cab franc and syrah): Good medium bright red. Redcurrant and mocha aromas are complicated by leather and tobacco. Supple, smooth and sweet, in the silky style of the vintage, with enticing redcurrant fruit carrying onto a round, persistent, seamless finish. Very nicely balanced blend with suave tannins.
