(aged in a third-fill 500-liter cask):  Moderately saturated pale-medium red.  Delicate, captivating aromas of rose petal, lavender, smoke and high-toned pepper; a darker element of cherry syrup emerged with extended aeration.  Supple and fine-grained, with lovely floral perfume to the flavors of cherry, smoke and pepper.  Finishes with a dusty edge and a repeating peppery nuance.  This very dry, floral, idiosyncratic cinsault could pass for a Languedoc wine, but I wanted just a bit more texture and flavor intensity.  Winemaker:  Adi Badenhorst.
