(aged in 20% new French oak):  Good bright red.  Lovely Old World aromas of raspberry, flowers, white pepper and licorice; smells like Bandol.  A saline cherry bomb on the palate, showing superb depth and underlying structure and a complicating gamey character.  Finishes pliant and long, with suave tannins.  Winemaker Billo Naravan noted that a lot of fruit, even red grapes, was dropped in 2010 due to botrytis.
