(made with 50% whole clusters):  Vivid red.  Intriguing pungent perfume of black raspberry, cherry, fresh rose, earth and anise.  Fleshy yet impressively focused red fruit compote and bitter cherry flavors are brightened by zesty minerality, which gives the wine back- end snap.  Closes on a spicy note, with firm tannic grip and very good persistence.
