About Beckmen Vineyards
When winemaker Steve Beckmen returned from Italy in 1997, he was convinced that his family's recently purchased hillside in Santa Barbara County would be perfect for growing Rhône varietals. His father Tom was skeptical, but since then, Purisima Mountain Vineyard has established itself as one of the finest sources of Syrah and Grenache in the Central Coast.

(55% marsanne, 19% roussanne, 16% grenache blanc and 10% viognier): Bright gold. Ripe pit fruits and honey on the pungent nose and in the mouth. Lush and creamy in texture, with good finishing breadth, spiciness and lingering warmth. Plenty rich but I'd have liked more shape.
