Bright golden yellow.  Delicate tropical fruits, licorice and sweet brown spices on the subdued nose.  Somewhat soft and diffuse on the palate, with licorice and candied lemon rind flavors dominating.  This seems less concentrated and precise than the other pinot gris made by Bott in 2010.  Roughly 30% of the grapes were affected by noble rot and passerillage, but I don't find the extra dimensions these two elements usually add.
