Bright straw.  Aromas of honeyed tropical fruits complicated by anise and sweet brown spices on the captivating nose.  Big, rich and fresh, showing ripe blood orange and tangerine flavors that I believe are characteristic of rieslings from the Furstentum.  The finish is lipsmackingly zesty and persistent, featuring a hint of powdered stone.  "We always harvest riesling two weeks later here than on the Schlossberg, and it seems to like the warmer vintages," said Maurice.
