Full gold. Piercing aromas of apricot liqueur, lime, orange zest, acacia honey and lemon verbena. Kaleidoscopic flavors of canned peach, apricot liqueur, cinnamon and chamomile, complicated by a note of white flowers. Thick and smooth in the mouth, conveying an impression of strong extract supported by superb acidity. Plenty of fresh botrytis character adds complexity and depth. Finishes extremely long and creamy; in fact, I almost had to scrape this off my palate in order to taste the following wine. From grapes grown in two parcels: one roughly 80 and the other 50 years old. In the latter, almost 80% of the berries were hit by noble rot.
