(15.6% alcohol; 15 g/l r.s.): Medium yellow. Soft citrus and pear aromas lifted by orange and spice botrytis notes and a mineral element. Lush, fine-grained and very rich, showing more baby fat today than the Heimbourg. But this moderately sweet and perhaps deceptively accessible pinot gris boasts excellent grip too, showing a rising finish drawn out by a sound spine of acidity. (ST)
