Opaque ruby.  Wild, intensely perfumed bouquet of candied red and dark berries, cola, mocha and anise, with a smoky overtone.  Broad, deeply pitched black raspberry and bitter cherry flavors are lifted by juicy acidity, picking up a dark chocolate nuance with air.  This large-scaled, youthfully tannic but energetic pinot finishes with excellent power and lingering spiciness.
