90-92 Points | International Wine Cellar , January/February 2013

Bright violet.  Powerful, spice-accented aromas of dark fruit preserves and violet, with a powerful vanilla quality building in the glass.  Silky and broad, offering gently sweet blueberry and cherry flavors and a touch of bitter chocolate.  Gently tannic on the finish, which leaves spice and vanilla notes behind.  This is the only bottling here in 2011 so all of the old vines fruit normally slated for the Cuvee des Cadettes is in this wine.
