90 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - January 2014
(60% grenache, 30% mourvedre and 10% syrah): Brilliant ruby. Initially reduced on the nose but aeration brings up spicy red berry and cherry pit aromas and a touch of candied flowers. Juicy and tightly focused, showing an energetic quality to its raspberry, bitter cherry and spicecake flavors. Notes of mocha and licorice sneak in on the peppery, persistent finish, which is firmed by silky, slow-building tannins. Quite elegant and very appealing now.
