(a 60/40 blend of syrah and grenache):  Bright ruby.  Smoky, powerful aromas of blackberry, cherry compote, licorice and violet.  Fresh and energetic, offering sweet dark fruit flavors that nicely combine power and vivacity; shows a peppery spice quality on the zesty finish.  The grenache vines that were sourced for this wine are reportedly over 60 years old and the syrah about 30.
