Subtle aromas of lichee, lemon oil and smoked pine nuts.  Rich tropical fruit flavors complicated by a hint of smoke on the delicate, vibrant palate.  Gentle acidity adds a feminine touch to the sweet, spicy finish.  This perfectly balanced spatlese is direct from the handbook and is my call for the finest of the vintage.
