Pale gold.  Aromas of ripe orchard fruits, melon, nectarine and jasmine, along with a smoky mineral overtone.  Rich but lithe and precise, offering intense pear and Meyer lemon flavors and suggestions of chalky minerals and sweet butter.  The smoky quality comes back on the finish, which lingers with impressive tenacity and stoniness.
