improving with age

I received a case of this wine late last spring. First impression was good but slightly less polished than the 2010 which I also had tasted. I just enjoyed a bottle of this with my wife tonight. It has blossomed into a voluptuous but elegantly balanced Zin. My wife took a bottle of the 2010 to share with several of her coworkers last spring: one of them later asked for the name and vintage saying that it was the first red wine that she had ever enjoyed " that wasn't chilled". I gave her a bottle of this because I had just received it. Hopefully she waited a few months because I think that this will equal the 2010.

I have to say the description on the sales email hit this spot on. I would rate this a 5 star if I felt like the price should be a factor. Grab some if you can.
Hard to beat for the price

All you have to do is say "Matt Cline" and I'm in! This is the third vintage of this same Zinfandel that I've purchased and everyone has been stellar. Great mouth-feel, great finish, wonderful nose of crushed black fruit, and all for $18 a bottle!

Today's Zin styles range from elegant, taut, and claret-like midweights to superripe and potty behemoths, with off-the-charts...
