Bright medium red. Cool, fresh aromas of black cherry, raspberry, minerals, menthol and flowers, plus a hint of underbrush. Silky and rich for the year, with a distinctly smooth texture to its juicy red fruit flavors. This is almost sweeter today than the 2012 version! Charles van Canneyt told me he added a lot of CO2 at the bottling (in December of 2012 and January of 2013) as the wines lost a lot of gas at the racking prior to bottling and needed freshness.
