(70% grenache and 30% syrah, half raised in concrete and the rest in a mix of barriques and demi-muids):  Vivid ruby.  A wild, slightly funky bouquet evokes dried cherry, plum and cured meat, with a slowly building floral quality.  At once silky and precise, offering sappy red fruit flavors that gain weight and smokiness with air.  Dusty tannins give grip to the taut, focused finish, which shows a suave lavender pastille quality.
