(14.3% alcohol):  Bright red.  Deep, pure aromas of red cherry, blackcurrant, spices and minerals on the refined, captivating nose.  Enters the mouth bright and fresh, then turns chewier and fleshier in the middle, with sweet red cherry and licorice flavors nicely extended by smooth tannins and harmonious acidity.  Very serious, well-made Brunello; off-hand, I can't remember the last time I liked a Brunello normale from Banfi this much.
